Welcome to the first conversation in our Women in Business chapter – part of our Join the Conversation series: five events that bring you important conversations, led by Women in Business and heard by everyone. In partnership with Forsyth Barr, this bar-setting series is bringing hard-hitting topics into the conversational spotlight.
We’re kicking-off the Women in Business chapter of this series with a live incarnation of the "Three Gals One Beehive" podcast - where politics meets laughter and insight in the most unexpected ways. From dissecting complex issues to exposing the personalities behind the policies, Three Gals One Beehive breathes fresh air into the commentary on New Zealand's political landscape.
The full price of the tickets for this event will be donated to the Wellington Women's Refuge.
Because this is a reminder that politics isn't just about policies and power plays - it's about stories, people and the laughs that come with it. Whether you're a political junkie, or just dipping your toes into current affairs, Three Gals One Beehive invites you to pull up a chair, pour a glass of wine and join the conversation that's as enlightening as it is entertaining:
Whether it's recounting drama that’s reminiscent of a House of Cards episode or assessing the strategic manoeuvres that would be at home in The Queen’s Gambit, their podcast promises to make even the driest political topics engaging.
Georgie Stylianou, Brigitte Morten and Holly Bennett are seasoned political pros, whose backgrounds include being private secretaries, campaign managers and Ministerial Advisors. Joining together to become podcast hosts, they cover off what you need to know about politics in a way that doesn’t bore your socks off - and say what the 6PM news won’t.
Their Three Gals One Beehive podcast doesn’t just attract the general public, their listeners include people from the very parties they’re discussing.
Understanding politics shouldn't be daunting, so come and see three women break the mould as they make it feel welcoming to everyone and genuinely enjoyable. It’s kind of like a dinner party with your three unfiltered friends.
This event is part of the Women in Business chapter from our “Join the Conversation” series - 5 events that spotlight important topics through conversation, led by the amazing women driving change within them.
